We are delighted to welcome Alessandra to our team. Alessandra and Marcio have worked together since 2015 when Alessandra sang lead roles under Marcio's direction for the Woodhouse Opera Festival.
Italian mezzo soprano and language coach Alessandra Fasolo studied Classical Singing and Melodramatics at the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory of Music in Venice and the Francesco Venezze Conservatory of Music in Rovigo, where she graduated with merit under the guidance of soprano Maria Gabriella Munari.
As a singer, Alessandra has performed a range of principal roles including Meg Page in Falstaff, Tisbe in La cenerentola, Mamma Lucia in Cavalleria Rusticana, Die Dritte and Die Zweite Dame in Die Zauberflöte, Suor Zelatrice and Suor Infermiera in Suor Angelica, Maga Merlina in the premiere of the contemporary opera La conchiglia di Visnù and Richiamo in the premiere of the contemporary opera Psicovalzer.
Since 2018 Alessandra has held the position of Professor of Italian and Language Coach at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Since 2020 she has held the role of Italian Language Coach at the National Opera Studio. In 2022 Alessandra began working with the Royal Opera House. She also worked with Longborough Festival Opera, with the Grange Festival, and with Neville Holt Opera.
Alessandra has worked on a wide range of operas including Don Giovanni, Alcina, Xerse, L’incoronazione di Poppea, Madame Butterfly, Così fan tutte, Il ritorno di Ulisse in patria, Tamerlano, Le nozze di Figaro, and Traviata.
