Petra Hajduchova

Petra is a classically trained musician, with an interest in a wide range of musical genres. She completed her studies in 2011 at Trinity College of Music, London, and received a TCM Scholarship award and the Raymond Russel Prize. Most recently she received a scholarship at Christ Church University, Canterbury, for PhD research in the Baroque Music of Moravia and Bohemia.

Petra is an accompanist at the Early Music department at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. In recent years she has made numerous radio and television broadcasts, including a live broadcast on BBC Radio 3, recording the soundtrack for BBC's Wolf Hall (Debbie Wiseman), and the ITV period drama series Victoria (Ruth Barrett). She recently featured on a CD of music by the Moravian composer Gottfried Finger with The Harmonious Society of Tickle-Fiddle Gentlemen.

Petra has been in high demand as a soloist (harpsichord, piano and organ), choir accompanist, orchestral and chamber musician, and has performed in Austria, the Czech Republic, France, Italy, Palma de Mallorca, Spain, Turkey and in England for the UK's leading ensembles such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Mozart Players, National Symphony Orchestra, European Union Chamber Orchestra, The Locrian Ensemble, Trafalgar Sinfonia, Ensemble OrQuesta, London Concertante, Belsize Baroque and others. She is also active in the world of opera including for a visit to Brazil for a production of Monteverdi's L'incoronazione di Poppea with Ensemble OrQuesta.

In addition to performing, Petra enjoys teaching harpsichord at the London Performing Academy of Music, and also piano in cooperation with various music agencies. She has participated in several educational projects with the English Concert, Amadè Players and London Piano Masters.

A recent project includes the release of an experimental EP (Experimentum) which appears on all main musical streaming platforms. This is a fusion of baroque music and electronic sound effects in cooperation with DIY Music Productions.
